Goonies

Life is a little more normal today. The weather is not normal, but it is Minnesota and one must take that into consideration. Below are the younger generation gooning around in the living room, mugging for the camera, and generally being themselves.

I played some tennis tonight and it was inside the Wooddale Tennis Center. Usually we would be outside by now, but we've pushed it back to Wednesday now.

They haven't had much opportunity to be goony together for a long time. Some catch up (as opposed to ketchup) is probably in order. Spring will out eventually, but with global cooling on the rise...

Solar cycle 24 is late. The last time that happened the Maunder Minimum triggered a mini ice age. (Info from TOPWLH)

I had to look up the Maunder Minimum and the Little Ice Age. There is quite a bit of info and some argument about the correlation of sunspots and weather on earth (e.g. there was a lot of volcanic activity at the same time), but a quote from one of the bloggers is of interest:

"During the Little Ice Age, access to Greenland was largely cut off by ice from 1410 to the 1720s. At the same time, canals in Holland routinely froze solid, glaciers advanced in the Alps, and sea-ice increased so much that no open water was present in any direction around Iceland in 1695."

We don't need no stinking Ice Age. TT

TOPWLH chuckled at the 'we don't need no stinking ice age.' Mother Nature bats last, so what is, is. We don't really know for sure yet what that definition of is is. With apologies to Hillary's husband.

Goofy is good without regard to what the definition of is is. Just my opinion, I could be wrong.
